Advisement Hours

Open Advisement for students and scholars is available at the Garden City campus on the following days and times. Students are welcome and encouraged to come in to ask questions and obtain assistance regarding their non-immigrant status.

As the director of international services, Wendy Badala, MA ’20, serves as the primary designated school official responsible for overseeing regulations for international students and scholars at all university campus locations. In her role to support campus internationalization, Wendy provides Adelphi students, scholars, and faculty with regulatory assistance as well as guidance regarding individual academic opportunities, cultural enrichment, and professional and leadership development. Wendy has served in various international support capacities at Adelphi since 2007 and has expansive education and experience in immigration advisement.

Anastasia Fesenko
Office Assistant

Anastasia is our senior member of the International Services team. Originally from Russia, Anastasia has been studying in the United States since middle school. Living with her family in Brooklyn, she is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies here at Adelphi University and plans to get her Master’s degree in the states as well. Anastasia is currently responsible for all employment and social security paperwork for all international students. She is a dedicated part of the staff, so wonderful to be around, passionate about sports and loves to help others.

Nicole Jiang
Office Assistant 

Nicole, an avid dancer since she was 6 and a big fan of the Royal family dance crew, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Business Administration Management with a specialization of Finance.  She works for International Services assisting students with questions and solving problems, and also for the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business as a graduate assistant. She has previously worked as administrative secretary in Germany prior to coming to the United States. Nicole decided to become an Adelphi Panther around a year and a half ago in an effort to gain more knowledge and experience in business. One of her favorite things to do is exploring the city with her friends, swimming, badminton, and bouldering.

Miki Fu
Office Assistant 

Miki is a graduate student in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business pursuing her Master’s degree in Business Administration Management, with a concentration in marketing.  She has been working in the Office of International Services since August 2018, and has provided invaluable services to both the office and the international student community as a recognized student leader. An international student from China, fashion and skin care are her passion, and her hope is to help people express themselves by dressing. Miki is also a fan of nature and animals. Miki is a member of the Graduate Student Council.  Her previous experience on campus included a graduate assistant position in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Agga Minn Htun
Office Assistant

Agga, a sophomore in the art department pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, has been working in the Office of International Services beginning in the Fall 2019 semester. An international student from Myanmar, Art is his passion and his hope is to create works that inspire people in the future. He is also familiar with video editing and used to be part of the Badminton club in his country. Agga is one of the newest members of the team. He is also a part of the Levermore Global Scholars Program and a member of the International Student Society club.

Huu Lam Nguyen
Graduate Assistant 

Huu Lam, a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree of Science in Business Analytics, is the newest member of the International Services family.  Beginning his position overseeing the data and analytics for the office in February 2020, it is a question how we managed without him. An international student from Vietnam, data science and automation are his passion. His future plan is to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Data Science and create a program that can be applied to business, especially in Finance and Healthcare services.

Vardha Kharbanda
Graduate Assistant Programming, and Communication

Vardha Kharbanda, a graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Psychology, has been working in the Office of International Services since Fall 2019. She is an international student from India, passionate about mental health. She believes in an equal society, Her future plan is to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Psychology. Vardha is also an active member of the graduate student council.
